The WLPGA is delighted to welcome a new member: Chemet

 

'Since the takeover of the French Company GLI SAS in January 2020, CHEMET SA has become the largest manufacturer of a complete product portfolio for the LPG industry in the European Union. In their two plants in Poland, two plants in France, as well as in their network of service and distribution centres they employ over 1,200 people, dedicated to designing, manufacturing, and servicing of all types of transportable and stationary tanks and vessels. 

Steady development of such a wide array of products and services requires a thorough understanding of their customers’ needs and preferences, not only in Europe but all over the world. CHEMET has realised that their membership in the World LPG Association will provide direct contact with their prospective clients and will give them an insight into the perspectives and future trends of the LPG industry.' said Piotr Frycz, CHEMET Vice President of the Board and International Operations Director

 

CHEMET SA is located 100 km west of Cracow in southern part of Poland, where in two plants they manufacture LPG tanks, railway tank cars for liquid gases and chemicals, transportable pressure vessels for all hazardous gases, cryogenic tanks and installations as well as unit pressure process equipment for refineries and chemical plants.

CHEMET GLI SAS has two production locations and 15 service centres all over France. In Civray, in western France, they manufacture LPG tanks, transportable vessels and UN-portable tanks, large storage tanks and road tankers. In Bischwiller, in Alsace, they produce LPG and other gas cylinders as well as LPG tanks. In all their facilities we also refurbish old LPG tanks and, additionally, in Bischwiller they renovate hundreds of thousands of old cylinders. In their service centre they offer a full scope of services for the largest LPG distributors in France.
