WLPGA Member Focus – Ito Koki

Ito Koki has been a very keen supporter of the WLPGA for many years attending recent Forums in Madrid, Doha, Bali and the most recent in London which was a tremendous experience and the biggest European and British LP Gas Exhibition for years.

London 2013 was also a most successful week for the ITO Group both in presenting our technical paper to the GTC and also in meeting interesting and interested people, discussing and demonstrating our innovative products.

We met many old friends and made many new ones. A special mention should also be made of the Japanese Gas Association, the Petro-Chemical Press and Japanese LPG Industry News who create interest, attend and organise trips to every event, wherever these are held. The GTC paper was entitled - ‘Eco-Friendly LPG Vaporization by Efficient Use of Atmospheric Heat’ and a copy of this paper and power point presentation is now available on the ITO Europe Web Site (www.ito-europe.com). The subject here was the ecoRizer which vaporizes LP Gas without the use of any fossil fuels, including electricity. By using the atmospheric temperature the ecoRizer offers zero running costs and zero carbon emissions – initial costs being offset by savings in running costs over a relatively short period.

Ito Koki are previously winners of the GTC Innovation Award with our paper entitled ‘LPG Applied Technology for Seismic Hazard’ and we demonstrated the featured PA (Propane Air) System (producing synthetic natural gas without any external energy sources such as electricity) and Earthquake Shut-Off devices at the exhibition. It was also an opportunity to launch the new Automatic Changeover with OPSO which, like our full changeover range, is available with and without remote telemetry function. These we demonstrated alongside our Tensile Trigger Hoses which cut off gas supply in the event of a cylinder falling over.We met many old friends and made many new ones. ITO Group celebrates its 60 year anniversary

The ITO Group was formed in 1954 and we are now commencing the celebrations of our 60th Anniversary beginning with the 60th annual assembly in Osaka and various promotions throughout the coming year. Ito Koki is a people-centered business that strikes a balance between respect for the individual and effective use of human resources and, through all-inclusive management, we continue to work towards keeping Ito Koki a good company that we can all be proud of. There are many people within the ITO Group who have been working for the company for 30, 40, 45 years and this year we also celebrate the 50th Anniversary of our President Mr Niro Utsumi.

In 2014 we shall be exhibiting at the AEGPL in Genoa and also the WLPGA in Miami, events which we believe to be essential in introducing what is now a Global Brand and more innovative products to a wider audience.
