September 2011 – Gasco, Saudi Arabia

GASCO, National Gas & Industrial Co., based in Saudi Arabia, has started major upgrades and expansion of its facilities.

 

GASCO, National Gas & Industrial Co., based in Saudi Arabia, has started major upgrades and expansion of its facilities. To meet the increasing market demands, GASCO is embarking on a programme that will cover four major initiatives. Firstly to build four new plants in the cities of Tabuk, Jazan, Alahsa and Hail. The plants will include all the facilities needed to receive the gas and fill cylindesr through two circuits. Gasco will use the mounded tanks and the new technology in the loading and unloading areas. Secondly, a programme to upgrade and increase the capacity of the loading and unloading area for seven plants in differenct locations.  The project will include detailed engineering, procurement and supply, construction, training, commissioning and starting-up on “turn-key” basis. Gasco is also increasing the road tankers (semi-trailers) by 50 units each of 50m3 capacity.  Also, it is planning to increase the fleet by seven bobtail units of 10,000 USG capacity that can be filled on a suitable car chassis.
