The event held in Lima, Peru is the premier global event for exploring ways to reduce exposure to indoor air pollution from cooking and heating practices - and ultimately improve the health, livelihood and quality of life for millions of people. Michael addressed the crowd of 350 participants from 40 countries giving them an overview of the Indonesian national Kerosene to LPG substitution programme. The crowd of delegates included the First Lady of Peru, Pilar Nores de Garcia, who is well known for her activism in trying to bring better cooking conditions to poor communities in Peru and who spoke with Michael briefly following his presentation. The PCIA Forum coincided with the release of issue 26 of the PCIA Bulletin which is dedicated entirely to LPG. This quarterly Newsletter reports on the activities of PCIA and its Partners to improve healthm livelihood and quality of life by reducing exposure to indoor air pollution, primarily among women and children, from household energy use.  This edition includes 11 articles on LPG as a cooking fuel and highlights several case studies from activities by WLPGA members.  For more information please visit: http://www.pciaonline.org/files/PCIA-Bulletin-Issue-26.pdf. This acknowledgement and endorsement by the development community on the benefits of LPG as a household fuel is the result of a long term WLPGA strategy for engaging with NGOs and development institutions and educating them about the benefits of using our product for domestic uses.
