Energy Companies accelerate speed of development of COOL LPG Technology

Stuttgart (Germany), Chicago IL (United States) On February 7th - 8th, 2023, the Chief Executive Officers of Green LG Energy S.r.l, Friedrich Scharr KG, rLPG North America, BioLPG LLC and GTI Energy met at GTI Energy headquarters outside Chicago, Illinois to plan intensification and acceleration of their collaborative development of the GTI Energy renewable LPG production technology, Cool LPG.

The Cool LPG process will provide economically viable, renewably sourced from biogenic waste LPG, offering full drop-in compatibility with existing global LPG infrastructure, while delivering emissions reductions needed to progress the green transition.

The Cool LPG development partners are focused on accelerating the speed to market of the Cool LPG process and on eventually making it available as an open technology platform to as many LPG industry players as possible. They are committed to proactive and transparent engagement with all stakeholders to ensure that Cool LPG technology becomes recognized as an attractive solution which nations can use to address their energy needs and to progressively reduce their emissions to meet climate change mitigation goals.

Green LG Energy S.r.l, a strategic joint venture focused on development of new technologies for production and distribution of LPG derived from renewable sources, was established on 6 July 2022 in Milan. Its founding partners are Italian LPG sector leaders AGN ENERGIA, Beyfin, Gruppo Cavagna, Gruppo Socogas and Veroniki Holding/Butangas.
