WLPGA congratulates member LEHR who have won the Patrick Soon-Shiong Innovation Award 2015.

The Patrick Soon-Shiong Innovation Award 2015 was presented to LEHR in a ceremony held in Beverly Hills on November 18, 2015.  The award, presented by the Los Angeles Business Journal, recognises innovative achievements by California companies in fields such as medicine, technology and engineering.  Commenting on the award, Bernardo Herzer, chairman, founder, says: "We are honored to be recognized by this award. Everyone at LEHR is excited and thankful for such an honor. We believe that we all have a responsibility to innovate and improve helping to reduce our footprint protecting the marine and land environment.

LEHR range of OEM propane-powered outboard motor offerings includes 2.5hp, 5hp, 9.9hp, 15hp, and 25hp models.
The benefits of propane over gasoline include lower fuel costs, no gasoline polluting the water, no ethanol or fuel related issues, zero evaporative emissions, easy starts, no priming, no carburetor gum-up and no winterizing.
“Gasoline is difficult to store and transport and the carbon monoxide fumes it produces can be harmful to boaters as well as the environment. This effects the entire food chain," explains Herzer, who patented a way to make small commercial engines run cleaner and more efficiently on propane.LEHR also manufactures propane-powered floor polishing equipment under the brand name Onyx Environmental, as well as providing propane engine solutions, ranging from 5 hp to 50hp for OEM under the brand name EnviroGard.
