Bonn International Cooking Energy Forum

Michael Kelly, WLPGA Deputy Managing Director, participated in the Bonn International Cooking Energy Forum that was held from 26-28 June 2013 in Bonn.

The event was organised by the German state development agency GIZ in conjunction with the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, observer member of the WLPGA. The Forum was attended by more than 150 representatives from relevant ministries, the private sector and non-governmental organisations in European and developing countries. Michael represented the LP Gas industry in two different sessions, one which focused on the growth of markets in Kenya and the other focusing on how the private and public sectors can join forces to create vibrant markets for improved cookstoves and clean fuels such as LP Gas in developing world markets. This was an excellent opportunity to present WLPGA’s flagship Cooking For Life campaign which aims to convert one billion people to cooking with clean burning LP Gas by 2030.     For more information please visit www.cooking-for-life.org.
