International Energy Services (IES) P/L from Melbourne, Australia, has won the inaugural WLPGA Good Industry Practices Award.
John McMillan will receive the award on behalf of IES during the WLPGA Best Practices Focus Sessions in Doha immediately before the WLPGA World Forum on Monday 26th September 2011. The purpose of the Award is to recognise individuals and/or organisations within the global LP Gas industry who demonstrate compliance with the Best Practices recommended in the two Guides published by the WLPGA - Guide to Good Business Practices and Guide to Good Safety Practices– which can be downloaded from the www.worldlpgas.com website. A small independent panel, representing WLPGA staff and members, selected the IES submission which focused on a simple device for preventing a bulk road tanker to drive away with hoses connected. The device can be easily fitted to an existing bulk road tanker fleet and is inexpensive. For more information on Good Industry Practices contact David Tyler on dtyler@worldlpgas.com
