WLPGA Member Focus – Wärtsilä

WLPGA is proud to welcome Wärtsilä as a new member of our growing global family. LPG to Power

Wärtsilä Tank Control Systems

Being part of the Wärtsilä Corporation since 2006 as an end-to-end organisation, Wärtsilä Tank Control Systems design, manufacture and supply hydraulic emergency shut-off systems for pressurized liquefied gas storage tanks. Systems are designed to provide rapid shut down in case of emergency arising from fire or line damage. Systems are suitable for LPG, chemicals, and ammonia. Wärtsilä TCS offer tank gauging solution to measuring Level, temperature and density for refrigerated LPG storages. Solution offering includes project management, field service and lifecycle support of customer installations.

Wärtsilä Cargo Handling and Fuel Supply Systems for LPG Shipping

Wärtsilä Gas Solutions is a leading company in the supply of gas related systems and products with more than 55 years of references in design- and supply of systems to gas carriers. The reference list includes 344 ships of all sizes such as; fully pressurised LPG carriers, semi-refrigerated carriers and large size fully refrigerated ships up to 84k.  The scope of supply includes typically design- and equipment related to handling of the cargo. Additional scope can be added, depending on yard/customer request; cargo- and deck tanks, control systems, cargo pumps, inert gas systems and ship design.

Wärtsilä is also leading in Fuel Gas Supply Systems (FGSS), and contracts are signed for supply of first systems to a VLGC based on LPG-Fuel. Off-Shore LPG Barges are also on Wärtsilä`s reference list with four barges equipped with total system and equipment supplied.
