Litro Gas Lanka Limited welcomed CEO and Managing Director of the World LP Gas Association James Rockall. Rockall paid a visit to the Litro Gas filling plant, state-of-the-art LPG storage terminal and head office. Litro Gas the country's largest retailer of LPG, is a member of the World LP Gas Association. The visit of Rockall signifies the strong links Litro Gas maintains with the World LP Gas Association promoting common goals. Rockall congratulated Litro Gas for their focus on health and safety and he was impressed to see that this strong emphasis extended into the independent distributors as well. "Sri Lanka has a great potential for, LPG growth. LPG can help improve the health and social welfare of the citizens of Sri Lanka and this will be achieved if companies work together with the government to create the conditions for increased investment in the sector. The creation of an industry-wide body is an important step in realizing this growth", said Rockall. A part of Rockall's visit was to make preparations for the setting up of a local LPG industry body. This body will help promote LPG by demonstrating the benefits of LP Gas and inform, educate and influence all stakeholders while promoting compliance with standards, safety practiCes and identify innovation to facilitate new applications.
