Doowe Gas, THLD Group sign agreement to promote autogas fuel in Nigeria

Doowe Gas – Nigeria’s largest online retailer for cooking gas (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders, LPG pressure vessels and skid plants – has announced a partnership with THLD Group, a Nigerian indigenous alternative energy solutions company. The aim of the partnership is to commence the conversation of petrol-engine vehicles to autogas-powered vehicles across the country.

The agreement, which was signed by James Atiti, CEO/Co-founder of Doowe Gas, and Olajuwan Olusegun, Managing Director/CEO of THLD Group, also aims to promote the sale and use of autogas as a sustainable motor fuel, which not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions, but also has the advantage of fuel economy and lower maintenance costs.

Autogas is the LPG used as fuel in internal combustion engines in vehicles and some generators. According to a statement by Doowe Gas, autogas is 40 per cent cheaper than conventional fuels. It is the world’s most widely-used alternative fuel. The World Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association (WLPGA) says more than nine million vehicles in 38 countries currently operate on autogas.
