CNN Highlights Cooksmoke As World’s Least Known Killer

While smoke from the end of a cigarette may be the best known killer, less well known is the death toll that smoke wafting from a stove that runs on wood or coal is taking on two out of five people living on the planet. On 18 January, CNN ran an editorial on this forgotten disease risk by Kirk R. Smith, chair of the expert group evaluating household air pollution for the Global Burden of Disease 2010 study.
